Barcelona Beaches

Barcelona looks at the sea. Its people, its culture and many of its attractions have Mediterranean roots. This route has been designed for you to discover the seafaring essence of our city.

1. Drassanes. Former royal shipyards and a prime example of Gothic civil architecture. They currently house the city's maritime museum.


2. Monumento Mirador Colón. Statue of Christopher Columbus built for the Universal Exhibition of 1888. Spectacular views are to be had from the top.


3. Golondrinas. Boats that offer two different routes around Barcelona's coastline.


4. Aquàrium. 35 aquariums, 11.000 specimens of 450 different species, an 80-metre-long underwater tunnel, and educational and leisure spaces. One of the world's largest.


5. Barceloneta. Fishing neighbourhood. Renowned for its exquisite restaurants along the Paseo Joan de Borbó and for its port and beaches.


6. Port Olímpic. Marina with a great variety of nightspots and restaurants.


7. Playas de Barcelona. Besides the Barceloneta, the city has a long stretch of beaches that are easy to reach and suitable for everyone.
