Always Barcelona
At Núñez i Navarro Hotels, it is our job and our pleasure to help guests get the most out of Barcelona. Our hotels are centrally located, and allow guests to get to know prominent tourist spots first-hand, like the Rambla, the Paseo de Gracia, or Gran Via. This common goal is what drives us to make sure that our hotels possess the distinction, the character, and the quality our guests deserve. Our nine unique hotels offer our guests the very best of Barcelona.
Always committed to the highest level of quality, Núñez i Navarro Hotels have kept up with the latest technologies, incorporating free internet access through both ASDL broadband and wireless connections in all hotels, as well as Plug & Play technology that lets you connect from anywhere in the building. Each hotel also boasts LCD-screen televisions, satellite TVs, free Business Centers, and other advanced systems to meet the demands of our guests.
Additionally, Núñez i Navarro has made a point of actively contributing to the rich and prestigious urban texture of Barcelona by restoring beautiful and historic buildings, and thus reflecting the thousand faces and perspectives that make our city an architectural, social and cultural center. The Granvía Hotel and the 1898 Hotel are prime examples, as they have enriched the culture of the city, and are already part of its history.
Our History
In 2001, as the Barcelona Universal Hotel was being opened, the Núñez i Navarro Hotels line was created, with a separate sales department so that all its hotels had a unique corporate image. Between the 1970s and the 1990s, the Catalan firm had opened its first hotels, initiating what would be a long and fruitful business trajectory. In the 1970s, the EuroPark Hotel and the Núñez Urgell Hotel opened. This first stage ended with the opening of the Hotel Paral.lel and the incorporation into the Group of the Granvia in the early 90s.
The new line began with a stage of changes for the hotel group, shifting the focus onto fashionable urban hotels with sophisticated design, making excellence in quality and location the prime characteristic of Núñez i Navarro Hotels. In keeping with these goals, the Jazz Hotel opened in 2004, right in the center of town. This was followed by the openings of the B-Hotel and the 1898 Hotel in 2005, the latter restoring and refurbishing the Philippine Tobacco Company building on the Rambla - a clear example of the labor of quality restoration and conservation of the city’s treasures that Núñez i Navarro engages in.
The year 2006 was marked by the opening of the Hotel Soho Barcelona, an innovative, minimalist hotel located, like all the group's hotels, in the heart of Barcelona. Throughout the course of 2007, Núñez i Navarro Hotels has seen "the rebirth of a classic" with the re-opening of the emblematic Hotel Núñez Urgell, transformed into U232, a new point of reference in the city's commercial and business districts.
Currently, Núñez i Navarro Hotels is putting all its efforts into the expansion and complete renovation of one of its classics, the Hotel Europark, located among some of Barcelona's most renowned architectural landmarks.
